Browsing through things over at The American Conservative, I was pleased to see that Kingsley Amis was being revisited. The essay was occasioned by the fact that Lucky Jim and The Old Devils are being re-released in the U.S.The author gives a workmanlike overview of some highlights of Amis's works -- lesser known ones as well as the more famous, concentrating on the recent releases.
And if it all seems to be a bit more serious than you'd like, then skip on over to a piece on Amis that I had a lot of fun writing 5 years ago. Enjoy!
