Fred Thompson update: tied with Hillary in head-to-head Rasmussen poll

In a hypothetical head-to-head matchup between Fred Thompson and Sen. Hillary Clinton, the two are tied at 45% each. Clinton is shown leading Mitt Romney 46-42%, but has also lost some ground against Romney.

This is yet another indicator of Clinton's high negatives -- something which could be a saving grace for Republicans. And it is again a remarkable accomplishment for Thompson, who has yet to enter the race and who has spent hardly a dime.
