Do it by yourself? Naw...

Congratulations to Big Timber for doing a $1.4 million library expansion, with 95% of the money coming from local donations. No county or state money was used, and countless hours of volunteer labor went into the project.

The well-known Billings firm of A & E Architects, best known for renovations of historic landmarks like the State Capitol, the Old Faithful Inn, and the Prescott Home in Missoula, played a major role, as did others.

We look forward to visiting it. It's always nice to see a project like this. Somehow we imagine that it will be treasured much more by the community than had they merely funded it from the public trough.
